CSC Academic All-District Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three West Texas A&M softball student-athletes earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors as announced by the organization.

Emily Liskai and
Heidi Vortherms all received the honor and advance to the CSC National Ballot.

Boyer finished the 2025 season with a .470 batting average, a .952 slugging percentage and a .581 on-base percentage. She leads the team and the nation with 22 home runs, a nation-leading 90 RBIs, and 35 of her 79 hits are for extra bases. In the circle, Boyer was 28-4 in 40 appearances with 13 complete games, two saves and a 2.40 ERA. She struck out 236 batters and had five complete game shutouts.

Vortherms posted a 2.05 ERA with 135 strikeouts in 133.1 innings pitched over 35 appearances and 28 starts. The Sioux Falls, S.D. native finished the season with a 20-3 record with five complete games and two shutouts with opponents hitting .234 against the senior pitcher.

Liskai hit .343 in 2025 with a .371 on base percentage and .639 slugging percentage. The second team All-Lone Star Conference selection totaled 58 hits including seven doubles, five triples, and 11 home runs while driving in 34 and scoring 47. Liskai went a perfect 12-for-12 on stolen bases.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and perform at an elite level within their sport. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America®
programs.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 17, 2025.
