TUCSON, Ariz. – On Tuesday, the West Texas A&M women's golf team finished in a tie for second place at the WT Desert Invite. St. Mary's won the event by nine strokes over the Lady Buffs and Cal State San Marcos, finishing with a score of 53-over (639) while Sonoma State's Avery Foster took home the individual title with a score of eight-over (152).

Gam Songprasert posted a top five finish at the event with a final score of nine-over (153) as the senior tied for second.
Sarah Reed also finished in the top 10 with her final score of 11-over (155), tying for sixth place.
Kara Holm tied for 37
th at 21-over (165) with
Charlee Thacker tying for 42
nd at 22-over (166) and
Anna Nomrowski tying for 53
rd at 25-over (169).

The Lady Buffs head up to Phoenix for the RJGA Palm Valley Classic hosted by Western New Mexico at the Palm Valley Golf Club on April 4-5.
