CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M women's soccer head coach Turk Ozturk announced the signing of Jezmin Castellanos. Castellanos comes to Canyon following a two-year stint at Arizona Western College.

Jezmin Castellanos comes to the Lady Buffs from Arizona Western College where she played defender for the Matadors. Castellanos logged 21 starts in 30 games over two seasons for Arizona Western. The defender netted six goals, including two game winners, and six assists. In 2024, Castellanos helped the Matadors to a runner-up finish at the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Championship. Castellanos is also a member of Guatemala's National Team.
 
"Jezmin is an extremely talented player from Arizona Western. She also has experience at the highest of levels representing her Country for the Guatemala Senior Women's National Team," said Coach Ozturk. "Jezmin has the versatility to play in multiple positions and will make an immediate impact to our team. We are excited to have her join the Lady Buffs."
