CANYON, Texas – The #11 Buffs and #2 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M make their way to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. The men's 8K gold race begins at 8:00 a.m. CT followed by the women's 5K gold race at 8:45 a.m. CT.
 
It will be the first time on the course for the Lady Buffs since they were victorious at the Texas Tech Open back on September 12^th. WT has picked up a win at both of their meets so far this season, starting out with a dominating victory at the Aggie Duels to open the campaign.
 
The Buffs are coming off a second-place performance at the TTU Open and a fourth-place finish at the Aggie Duels.
 
Head coach Zach Daniel and the Lady Buffs were the NCAA Division II National Runner-Up last year – the best finish in program history – and fifth at the South Central Regional Championships in Denver. The Lady Buffs have claimed four LSC crowns (2012, 2013, 2023, 2024).
 
The Buffs have won every Lone Star Conference title since 2013 as they were picked atop of the league's preseason coaches' poll. WT finished fourth in the NCAA Division II National Championships last year and third at the South Central Regional.
