CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M senior
Adrian Legarreta crossed the finish line in third place as the Buffaloes claimed a 14
thplace result at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Legarreta impressed for the Buffaloes as the Friona product ran a time of 29:44.3,
Matthys Bourse claimed All-American honors with a mark of 30:32.7 to finish 30
th overall. Tommaso Toppi finished 131
st (32:03.1) followed by
Fintan Kavanagh in 156
th(32:15.5),
Branch Cox in 172
nd (32:25.7),
Shane Ketchum in 187
th (32:32.6) and
Adrian Solis in 234
th (33:26.9).

Adams State senior Kidus Begashaw won the individual crown with a time of 29:58.8 ahead of Wingate's Antonin Saint Peyre (29:41.8).

Wingate placed four runners inside of the Top2- to finish the race with 62 total points to win the National Championship. Adams State finished second with 71 points followed by Colorado School of Mines (121), Grand Valley State (122) and Western Colorado (162) to round out the top five.
