CANYON, Texas – On Thursday West Texas A&M women's golf coach Meredith Jameson announced the signing of Monica Del Valle Pena.
 
Del Valle Pena comes to Canyon from León, Spain and will join the Lady Buffs ahead of the 2025-26 season. Del Valle Pena earned medalist honors at the Golfenómenos in both 2023 and 2024. She currently is in the prestigious Blume Golf Development Program. 
 
Coach Jameson's Take:
 "One of Monica's strengths in her game is her driver. She is long and extremely accurate, which positions her to score well," said Jameson. "During the recruiting process, Monica displayed her commitment to excellence on the course as well as in the classroom.  She embodies all the characteristics we look for in our team members, I am thrilled to have Monica join the WT Golf Team next fall."
 
WT kicks off the spring season on Feb. 17-18 at the UCO Southern Invite in Spring, Texas.
