INDIANAPOLIS, IN —The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee has announced the participants for the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships. A total of 540 participants, 270 men and 270 women, will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching a provisional standard established for each event. Heat sheets will be available by Monday, March 4.
The championships will be held March 8-9 in Pittsburg, Kansas at the Robert W. Plaster Center. Pittsburg State University and Explore Crawford County will serve as co-hosts of the championships. The championships will be streamed live on

LADY BUFF QUALIFIERS
The No. 7 West Texas A&M Lady Buffs have qualified 12 student-athletes in 10 events.
Florance Uwajeneza,
Eleonora Curtabbi and
Corrssia Perry will each be competing in three events in the national meet with Uwajeneza ranked the highest of all events for the Lady Buffs. The seasoned St. Paul, Minnesota native has been here before after competing in multiple distance events in the years prior. She'll be running the 3,000-meter, 5,000-meter and the mile leg of the distance medley relay. Uwajeneza is seeded second in the 5,000-meter race with teammates
Eleonora Curtabbi and
Sarah Koomson in the event as well.
Eleonora Curtabbi will compete in the mile, 3,000-meter and 1200 meter leg of the distance medley relay for her last time in maroon and white for West Texas A&M. Curtabbi had eligilibity to the indoor season and will not be able to compete in the outdoor season.
Corrssia Perry joins Curtabbi in her last indoor season as well. The competitor from Carrolton, Georgia qualified for the 200-meter, 400-meter and will run the second leg of the distance medley. Perry holds the top-3 times in WT history in the 400-meter.
Three freshmen are taking the track at the biggest stage for the first time this year.
Joy Udo-Gabriel,
Blessing Akintoye and
Sarah Koomson are running for the Lady Buffs. Koomson ran for cross country in the fall so she has been to a national championship meet. She gained All-American honors becoming only the second Lady Buff freshman to earn the honors in the fall. Udo-Gabriel and Akintoye are taking to the sprints with Udo-Gabriel ranked No. 7 in the 60-meter and Akintoye having run the fourth fastest time in the 400-meter in WT history this season.
Fellow newcomers to the national stage including Koomson, Udo-Gabriel and Akintoye are
Meadow Gallentine and
Elise Leveel. Returning are
Leah Belfield, a national champion in the 60-meter,
Corrssia Perry,
Florance Uwajeneza,
Eleonora Curtabbi and
