Joseph Oreva picked up victories during the opening day of the Colorado Running Company Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi being held at the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse on the campus of UCCS.

LADY BUFFS
Amarillo product
Kailee Benton registered a score of 3,232 points to place fourth overall in the heptathlon followed by freshman
Erin Martin with 2,654 points. Five different Lady Buffs competed in the 60m Hurdle prelims as
Taylor Gonzalez (2
nd, 8.98) and
Temitope Adenuga (3
rd, 9.01) qualified for Saturday's finals.

The women's long jump saw
Leidy Cuesta finish sixth overall with a mark of 5.59m (18'4") followed by
Haisley Huffman in eighth (18'2" – 5.54m).
Bella Kenney was the only Lady Buff competing in the pole vault as the junior had a mark of 3.07m (10'3/4") to finish 10
th overall.

Gallentine impressed in the weight throw as the Anson, Texas product had a throw of 63'4" (19.31m) to win the event followed by
Hope Gray in third (16.19m – 53' 1¼"). Gallentine's mark in the best in Division II so far this season.

BUFFS
Romet Vahter leads the way in the men's pentathlon heading into Saturday as the Estonia product holds an overall total of 3,238 points followed by
David Richards in sixth (2,989).

Luke Holcombe registered a fourth-place finish in the men's weight throw with a mark of 17.11m (56' 1½") followed by
Brocc Brodecky in 11
th (43' 9½" – 13.35m).
Lance Ottinger and
Spencer Keys tallied top-five finishes in the pole vault as Ottinger's mark of 4.35m placed third followed by Keys with a 4.20m in fourth.

Oreva dominated the long jump as the Nigeria product tallied a mark of 7.71m (25' 3½") to win the event followed by
Cecil Dosoo in 8
th (6.90M),
Gael Chavez Robles in 9
th (6.84m) and
Alexander Horner-Wheeler in 10
th (6.76m). Oreva's mark in the best in Division II indoor action this season.
