Â
LAST TIME OUT
WT won the first iteration of the Rivalry on the Range series with Lubbock Christian on Wednesday. The Buffs' pressure paid off in the 36th minute as
Dylan Watson sent a service into a crowded Lubbock Christian box and toward a running
Ben Siri. Siri let the ball go past him to an open
Matteo Landais on the back post where Landais put the ball into the back of the net. WT carried over the momentum gained in the first half as the Buffs struck quickly in the second half. After WT took possession at midfield,
Gabriel Nevarez found a streaking
Keaton Hartman in open space. Hartman raced past the Chaps' back line as the LCU goalkeeper came off his line. As the keeper went to the ground, the Hobbs, N.M. native slipped a shot under his arm and rolled the ball into the back of the net less than a minute into the second period.

LSC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Hartman was pivotal in West Texas A&M's 2-0-1 week by starting all three matches against Southern Nazarene, Northwest Nazarene, and Adams State. He spearheaded a unit that allowed only one goal. He assisted on the Buffs' lone goal against Southern Nazarene while playing the full 90 minutes and added another assist on the game-winner against Northwest Nazarene. Against Adams State, he helped the Buffs not allow a single shot and added a goal of his own.
Â
Kristal fueled an unbeaten week against Southern Nazarene, Northwest Nazarene, and Adams State by allowing only one goal over 252:22 minutes. Kristal, who started every match, shut out Northwest Nazarene with three saves in a 1-0 contest – the Buffs' first win of the season.
