CANYON, Texas – The #23 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M used a 24-point performance by freshman
Karley Motschenbacher as they outlasted eighth-seeded Colorado Mesa in the South Central Regional Quarterfinals on Friday night at the First United Bank Center in front of over 1,200 fans in Canyon, Texas.

The Moorhead, Minnesota product went 8-of-11 from the floor including 3-of-5 from deep for a team-high 24 points to go along with six rebounds and two steals.
Zamorye Roberts finished the night going 6-of-13 from the field with 15 points and five assists while
Lauren Taylor was one rebound shy of a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 26-of-56 (46.4%) from the floor including 8-of-20 (40%) from behind the arc and 10-of-12 (83.3%) from the free throw line with 40 rebounds (six offensive, 34 defensive), 19 assists, 12 turnovers, three blocks and three steals.

RMAC Player of the Year Daniella Turner finished off her stellar career as the Boca Raton, Florida native went 9-of-22 from the field including 4-of-8 from deep for a game-high 25 points to go along with five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals. CMU went 20-of-63 (31.7%) from the floor including 7-of-20 (35%) from deep and 17-of-18 (94.4%) from the stripe with 34 rebounds, 19 assists, seven turnovers, three blocks and seven steals.

The Lady Buffs advance to tomorrow night's semifinal round with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. as they will take on the winner of Texas Woman's/MSU Denver.
