CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs overcame a six point halftime deficit as they outscored the rival Belles of Angelo State 40-19 in the second half on their way to a 62-47 Lone Star Conference victory on Saturday afternoon in front of over 1,300 fans at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

Karley Motschenbacher led the way for the Lady Buffs as the Minnesota product went 5-of-12 from the floor including 7-of-8 from the charity stripe for a game-high 18 points to go along with eight rebounds, two assits and two steals.
Zamorye Roberts chipped in 14 points as the junior guard went 4-of-12 from the field including 3-of-6 from behind the arc to go along with seven boards and two steals.

The Lady Buffs finished the afternoon going 20-of-66 (30.3%) from the floor including 7-of-27 (25.9%) from deep and 15-of-19 (78.9%) from the free throw line to go along with 53 rebounds (11 offensive, 42 defensive), 12 assists, 10 turnovers, three blocks and seven steals.

Madeline Stephens and Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant paced the ASU offense as they combined for 24 points and 18 rebounds in the loss. The Belles finished the game going 19-of-66 (28.8%) from the floor including 3-of-19 (15.8%) from behind the arc and 6-of-9 (66.7%) from the charity stripe with 42 rebounds (six offensive, 36 defensive), seven assists, 12 turnovers, three blocks and four steals.
