DALLAS – The No. 10-ranked West Texas A&M women's golf team stands second after the opening day of the West Regional Preview hosted by Dallas Baptist at the Golf Club of Dallas. Dallas Baptist leads the 15-team tournament, sitting six strokes ahead of WT.
 
Lorenza Perini led the Lady Buffs after the first two rounds of play, finishing with a score of three-under (141). Perini carded a two-under (70) in the first round and a one-under (71) in round two. Campbell, sitting one stroke behind Perini, turned in a four-under (68) in round one before shooting a two-over (74) in the second round.
 
Gam Songprasert finished the day with a two-round total of 151, tied for 25^th, after posting scores of 80 and 71. Rylie Cook finished her first round at one-over (73) before a seven-over (79) for a total of 152, sitting tied for 29^th. Antonella Periotti Omisolo rounded out the Lady Buff lineup with a 11-over, 155.
 
WT leads the tournament with three eagles on the day while DBU led all teams with 28 birdies.
