TUCSON, Arizona – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M held their own against a perennial national power on Thursday night before falling 86-63 to the Arizona Wildcats in exhibition action in front of 2,763 fans at the McKale Center in Tucson, Arizona.

Karley Motschenbacher led the way for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore guard finished the night going 6-of-10 from the floor including 1-of-1 from behind the arc for a team-high 15 points to go along with eight board to finish just shy of a double-double.
Zamorye Roberts also finished in double-figures as the senior from Portales went 4-of-7 from the floor and 2-of-4 from deep for 11 points to go along with two rebounds, three assists and a steal.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 25-of-56 (44.6%) from the floor including 7-of-15 (46.7%) from deep and 6-of-10 (60%) from the charity stripe to go along with 38 rebounds (eight offensive, 30 defensive), 11 assists, 25 turnovers, one block and four steals.

Jade Loville paced the Arizona offense as the senior from Scottsdale went 10-of-18 from the floor to finish with a game-high 20 points to go along with four rebounds, Cate Reese also finished in double-figures as the Cypress product went 6-of-13 from the field and 1-of-3 from deep for 13 points to go along with six boards. The Wildcats finished the game going 27-of-89 (41.6%) from the field including 4-of-20 (20%) from deep and 8-of-11 (72.7%) from the line to go along with 46 rebounds (23 offensive, 23 defensive), 14 assists, eight turnovers, five block and 18 steals.

The Lady Buffs travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico for their final preseason tune-up on Saturday afternoon to take on the New Mexico Lobos in exhibition action starting at 4:30 p.m. CT at The Pit.
