CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M finished off their preseasons schedule on Saturday afternoon as they fell to the New Mexico Lobos, 84-75 in exhibition action at The Pit in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Karley Motschenbacher led the way for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore guard finished the afternoon going 4-of-8 from the floor including 6-of-7 from the free throw line for a team-high 14 points to go along with three rebounds, four assists and one steal.
Zamorye Roberts went 5-of-15 from the field to finish with 11 points and five rebounds.

The Lady Buffs went 29-of-67 (43.3%) from the floor including 6-of-17 (35.3%) from deep and 11-of-13 (84.6%) from the free throw line to go along with 40 rebounds (nine offensive, 31 defensive), 17 assists, 15 turnovers, no blocks and four steals.

New Mexico was led by Latasyc Duff who went 3-of-8 from the floor including 2-of-5 from behind the arc and a perfect 9-of-9 from the stripe for a game-high 17 points to go along with three boards, two assists and two steals. The Lobos finished the afternoon going 31-of-67 (46.3%) from the floor including 8-of-28 (28.6%) from deep and 14-of-16 (87.5%) from the free throw line with 37 rebounds (six offensive, 31 defensive), 17 assists, 10 turnovers, three blocks and nine steals.

The Lady Buffs open up their regular season schedule next weekend as they travel to Kansas City, Missouri to take part in the D2CCA Tipoff Classic hosted by the MIAA at Municipal Auditorium as they will face off with Fort Hays State (Nov. 5) and Nebraska-Kearney (Nov. 6).Â
