CANYON, Texas – The #10 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M ran their win streak to seven games on Saturday as they rolled past the Oklahoma Christian Eagles, 18-2 in eight innings during Lone Star Conference play at Dobson Field in Edmond, Oklahoma.

WT jumped out to an early lead as
Kennedy Badgett singled to left to score
Keone Givens followed by a
Ryan Johnson double to left center to give the Buffs a 2-0 lead. The Eagles responded in the third as Kevin Collyer lifted a two-run homerun to left to tie the game at 2-2.

The Buffs broke the game open in the fifth as
Jonah Gonzales drove in an RBI on an OC error to score two followed by a Givens two-run bomb to left field to make it 6-2. WT put it out of reach in the sixth as Johnson scored from third on a wild pitch followed by an
Izaiah Madrid RBI single to left to run the lead to 8-2.

WT added to the lead in the seventh as Johnson doubled to center to score Gonzales followed by a sac fly by
Will Fuenning down the left field line to plate Badgett at 10-2. The Buffs scored eight in the top of the eighth as Gonzales drew an RBI walk followed by a
Keone Givens RBI single.
Abel Pena singled thru the left side to score Gonzales followed by a
Kyle Moos grand slam to left to run the lead to 18-2.

Zach Dixon picked up the win on the mound (3-1) for the Buffs as the senior lefty allowed two earned runs on two hits with three walks and four strikeouts during his five innings of work.Â
