CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs could never find their rhythm offensively on Saturday night as they shot just 27.3% from the floor in a 46-43 loss to the Colorado Mesa Mavericks to conclude the South Central Regional Challenge at the First United Bank Center in Canyon, Texas.

Alivia Lewis went 3-of-8 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the charity stripe to lead the Lady Buffs with 13 points to go along with 12 rebounds and two blocks for the double-double.
Jayla Burgess finished the night going 5-of-11 from the field for 11 points to go along with eight boards.

The Lady Buffs finished the game going 15-of-55 (27.3%) from the floor including 2-of-24 (8.3%) from deep and 11-of-15 (73.3%) from the free throw line with 40 rebounds (seven offensive, 33 defensive), eight assists, 10 turnovers, three blocks and six steals.

Mariah Martin led the way offensively for Colorado Mesa as the grad student from Sandy, Utah went 6-of-24 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line for 17 points to go along with five rebounds, three assists and two steals. The Mavericks finished the night going 18-of-59 (30.5%) from the field including 3-of-21 (14.3%) from deep and 7-of-9 (77.8%) from the stripe with 42 rebounds, eight assists, 11 turnovers, five blocks and four steals.

The Lady Buffs went just 6-of-30 (20%) from the floor in the first half as they trailed 23-14 headed into the locker room. The Mavericks grabbed 22 rebounds in the opening half as they went 9-of-30 (30%) from the floor including 1-of-9 (11.1%) from deep and 4-of-5 (80%) from the charity stripe.
