CANYON, Texas – Led by
Briggs Wittlake's third-place finish, No. 29 West Texas A&M finished third at the William Graham Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Wittlake was the top finisher for the Buffs for the first time this season as the former All-American covered the 8-kilometer course in 27:10.7 to record the sixth Top 10 finish of his career.
True freshman
Hunter Bellis finished ninth in 28:33.6 followed by
Daniel Camarillo in 17
th (30:46.8), Abdelrahim Magoub and
Brian Nganga made their cross country debuts finishing 26
th and 27
th respectively.
The Buffs will continue preparations for the Lone Star Conference Championship's by competing at the Blue & Gold Classic hosted by San Angelo on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
