CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes connected on two big homeruns while senior
Todd Danzeisen tossed a complete game in the Lone Star Conference series finale on Sunday afternoon as WT completed the sweep of the Texas A&M International Dustdevils, 6-2.
The Buffs hit the road for a four-game LSC series next weekend in Tyler, Texas as the take on the #21 Patriots of UT Tyler starting on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Irwin Field.

The Buffs wasted little time getting on the board as
Izaiah Madrid lifted a solo homerun to left field with one out followed by a
Kennedy Badgett RBI double to the wall in center field to make it 2-0.
International got on the board in the fifth as Ariben Gutierrez layed down a sac bunt with runners on the corners and no outs to score Hunter Trinidad at 2-1. The Dustdevils tied up the game in the sixth as Jerry Villareal blooped a single to left center to plate Andrew Holsey at 2-2.
The Buffs retook the lead in the home half of the frame as
Caleb Flores crushed a two-run shot over the netting in right field for his first collegiate homerun and the 4-2 lead. WT added to their lead in the seventh as Badgett doubled down the left field line to drive in a pair and make it 6-2.
Todd Danzeisen picked up the win (4-0) on the mound for the Buffs as the senior lefty allowed just two earned runs on six hits with one walk and eight strikeouts in the complete game victory.
