Lucca Lima recorded his first goal of the season as he led the Buffaloes of West Texas A&M to a 1-0 shutout against the Hilltoppers of St. Edward's in nonconference action at Richland College in Dallas on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After an even first half where both teams tallied four shots, the Buffs got on board in the final 45 minutes to end a three-game losing streak.
Lucca Lima earned the game winning goal as the Lone Star Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year finished a pass from
Zachary Welch in the 67
th minute to give the Buffs the go-ahead 1-0 lead. WT's defense held the Hilltoppers in the final four minutes of the game as George Murray's header shot was denied by
Alexander Vencel to secure the victory.
Five Buffs recorded shots under the lights led by Lima with a game-high four shots with two of them coming on goal.
Alexander Vencel picked up his third victory of the season after he recorded six saves on 11 shots six of them being on target. Kellen Guillion registered four saves on nine shots in the loss for the Hilltoppers.

The Buffs return to Lone Star Conference action on Thursday afternoon as they travel to Austin for round two against St. Edward's, starting a 2 p.m. at the Lewis-Chen Family Field.
