LAREDO, Texas – The offensive woes continued for #11 West Texas A&M as the Lady Buffs ran their losing skid to four games with a pair of Sunday afternoon losses to the Dustdevils of Texas A&M-International at Dustdevil Field in Laredo, Texas.

The Lady Buffs wrap-up the regular season next weekend as they host the rival Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico in a Lone Star Conference three-game series starting on Friday night at 6 p.m. followed by Senior Day on Saturday afternoon starting at 1 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENENED (GAME 1):
The Dustdevils took an early lead in the home half of the first inning as a fielder's choice groundout along with a throwing error allowed a pair of runs to score to make it 2-0, the Lady Buffs continued their offensive woes early as they stranded a pair in the top of the fourth inning with a strikeout to keep it 2-0.

International added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth inning as Amanda Gamboa lifted a bloop single down the right field line with two outs to score a pair and extend the lead to 4-0, the Dustdevils weren't done yet as they plated four more runs in the frame to make it 8-0.

The Lady Buffs were handed their first run-rule loss in over five years as they were no-hit at St. Edward's back on April 14, 2013 in Austin in an 8-0 loss. Starkey picked up the loss in the circle for the Lady Buffs, giving up eight runs (seven earned) on eight hits with no walks and one strikeout in her 3.2 innings of work.

HOW IT HAPPENENED (GAME 2):
The Dustdevils got on the board first in the bottom of the third inning as Cassie Cannon lifted a sac fly to center field to score Amanda Hinojosa for an early 1-0 lead, WT responded in the top of the fourth as
Alyx Cordell responded with a sac fly of her own to tie it at 1-1.
International responded in the fourth with an Alyssa Acuna RBI single thru the right side to make it 2-1,
Kylee Moore connected on her 23
rd homerun of the season, tying the single-season program record, in the top of the fifth with a solo bomb to right center to tie the game again at 2-2. The Dustdevils put the game away in the home half of the fifth inning with a pair of runs for the 4-2 win.

Stevie McLemore picked up the loss (3-3) in the circle for the Lady Buffs, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits with one walk and no strikeouts in the complete game loss.
