At Palm Beach State College:
Van Gurp was a two-time All-American for the Panthers at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Florida.

At Trinity Christian High School:
Van Gurp graduated from Trinity Christian High School in Lake Worth, Florida where she played middle infield for the Warriors. She was a First Team All-State selection in the Florida College System Activities Association (FHSAA) while being named MVP by the Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel.

Personal:
Born September 23rd. Daughter of Raymond and Solange Van Gurp and she has two siblings: Ray Wendley and Rayjeal. Van Gurp is majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
