2019 (Senior):
Appeared in 24 games including 17 starts in left field as a senior where she recorded 15 at-bats with six walks and scoring three runs. Recorded 15 putouts and an error for a fielding percentage of .938. 

2018 (Junior):
Ruiz saw time in 39 games with 28 starts in the outfield for the Lady Buffs during her sophomore season in 2018. The Tucson native hit .152 on the season with one double and four RBI with six total bases for a slugging percentage of .182 to go along with seven walks for an on-base clip of .300. Defensively, she registered 27 putouts and two assists with no errors for a perfect fielding clip of 1.000.

At Pima College:
Ruiz comes to Canyon following two standout seasons at Pima College in Tucson, Arizona where she played the outfield for the Aztecs under head coach Armando Quiroz. Ruiz continues the strong ties with the Lady Buffs and the highly-successful Pima CC program.

At Cholla High School:
Ruiz registered a strong prep career at Cholla High Magnet School in Tucson, Arizona where she played the outfield and caught for the Chargers under head coach Raul Vega. Ruiz was a standout in the classroom during her high school career, finishing with a 4.1 GPA and graduating in the top-five of her class.

Personal:
Born November 15th. Daughter of Curtis and Estella Ruiz and she has three siblings: Ariana, Marco and Bruce. Majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
