  • Junior Christian Loya belted his third home run of the season – a two run shot for a 9-3 and then Flanagan threw three straight times inside drawing warnings on both teams from the umpire as the game started to get chippy for a number of hit batsmen and close calls from earlier in the game.
  • TSU got an error and a hit batsman in the top of the sixth for runners at first and second with two away, but Cook came back with his tenth strikeout of the game to end the threat.
  • Senior Noah Draper relived Cook for the seventh and retired the Texans in order and the Buffs loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the inning.A wild pitch plated the tenth run of the game for the Buffs and a walk followed loading the bases once again as TSU went to the bullpen.Senior Brandon Marrero singled off the wall, plating two for a 12-3 lead.
