2018 (Junior):
The talented utility player picked up Honorable Mention All-Lone Star Conference honors as he saw time in 42 contests with 33 starts for the Buffs during his junior season in 2018. Loya hit .300 on the season with six doubles, two triples and seven homeruns to drive in 26 RBI with 67 total bases for a slugging percentage of .558 to go along with nine walks and 18 hit-by-pitch for an on-base clip of .423. He tallied 29 putouts and two assists between the outfield and first base with a perfect fielding percentage. Loya also excelled in the classroom as he was named to tha Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team and a Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic First Team All-District honoree.

2017 (Sophomore):
Loya made 25 appearances for the Buffs during his sophomore campaign as he missed most of the season due to injury. He hit .379 with two doubles and two long balls to drive in five RBI for a slugging percentage of .455. He recorded 23 putouts in 26 chances on defense with three assists.

2016 (Freshman):
Loya saw time in 40 contests with 36 starts during his true-freshman campaign for the Buffs, picking up Second Team All-Lone Star Conference accolades after ranking second on the team in batting average at .339. He scored 23 runs to go along with seven doubles and a team-high six homeruns to drive in 23 RBI for a slugging percentage of .557. He registered a fielding percentage of .987 with 295 putouts and 11 assists to go along with just four errors mainly at first base.

At Amarillo High School:
Registered a standout prep career at nearby Amarillo High School where he went 37-9 as a senior for the Sandies. Earned First Team All-District honors while being named the District MVP to go along with a Texas Sports Writer's Association (TSWA) All-State selection. As as junior, he was named an Amarillo Globe News Super Team Honorable Mention selection.

Born March 10, 1996. Parents are Selena Perales and Tony Loya and he has one sibling. Majoring in Finance and Computer Information Systems at WT.
