CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs hit .386 as a team with 11 service aces to roll past the Rattlers of St. Mary's on Saturday night during the finale of the BritKare Lady Buff Classic in Canyon. Freshman outside Erin Clark was named to the All-Tournament Team while sophomore Selena Batiste picked up MVP honors.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Buffs hit .386 as a team with 41 kills on 88 swings with just seven attack errors to go along with 37 assists, 11 service aces, 41 digs and six total blocks.
- St. Mary's hit .096 as a team with 28 kills on 94 attempts with 19 attack errors to go along with 28 assists, three service aces, 34 digs and just one total block.
- Sophomore Selena Batiste was named the Tournament MVP, dishing out 150 assists in four sets to average an incredible 11.54 per set while freshman Erin Clark was picked for the All-Tournament team as the Scottsdale native tallied 52 kills (4.00/set) and hit .309 on the weekend.
 
UP NEXT:
- The Lady Buffs hit the road next weekend as they travel to Saint Leo, Florida to take part in the 2017 Saint Leo Classic at the Marion Bowman Center. WT will take on Nova Southeastern and the host Lions on Friday followed by Saturday matchups with Truman State and Montevallo.
