At Murray State:
Jones comes to Canyon following three playing seasons at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. During her time at MSU, she helped the Racers to three-straight Ohio Valley Conference Championships and a pair of appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Jones saw time in 20 matches with a pair of starts as a junior in 2016, registering 117 kills (1.86/set) to go along with 11 digs and 13 total blocks as the Racers made a run to the First Round of the NCAA Tournament before falling at #10 UCLA in four sets.
 
She redshirted for the Racers in 2015 following a sophomore campaign where she appeared in 13 matches and made one start. She recorded 25 kills and hit .215 on the season with nine digs and one block assist in 18 sets played. As a freshman in 2014, Jones played in 30 matches with 24 starts. She was fifth on the team with 143 kills and fourth with a .180 attack percentage, finishing the year with 46 digs and 39 blocks.

At Paschal High School:
Jones registered a standout prep career at Paschal High School in Fort Worth, Texas where she was a two-time All-District performer for the Panthers as she averaged 236 kills in three varsity seasons for the Panthers, including a 315 kill junior campaign. She was a three-year letterwinner in volleyball and track at PHS while also excelling in the classroom as a four-time Academic All-District selection.
