CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs came out swinging on Friday afternoon as they hit .318 as a team to go along with eight blocks in a sweep over the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State during the BritKare Lady Buff Classic at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.

 - Assists: Selena Batiste (WT, 30 Assists), Kodee Avery (SWOSU, 17 Assists)
 - Digs: Kaitlyn Dillon (SWOSU, 19 Digs), Chandler Vogel (WT, 14 Digs)
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Buffs hit .316 as a team with 38 kills on 88 swings with just 10 attack errors to go along with 36 assists, seven service aces, 37 digs and eight total blocks in the win.
- Southwestern Oklahoma State hit .087 as a team with 29 kills on 92 swings with 21 attack errors to go along with 28 assists, four service aces, 36 digs and three total blocks.
- Senior transfer Kamille Jones led all players with 10 kills on 18 swings to hit .500 on the afternoon followed by true-freshman Erin Clark with nine kills while Selena Batiste dished out a match high 30 assists and Chandler Vogel tallied 14 digs in her first career match in Maroon & White.
 
UP NEXT:
- The Lady Buffs will wrap-up Day 1 of the BritKare Lady Buff Classic with a matchup against the ThunderWolves of Colorado State-Pueblo with first serve set for 7:30 p.m. tonight in Canyon. The Pack swept past St. Mary's (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) earlier in the day.
