DENTON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M committed 25 attack errors and hit just .171 as a team but a strong fifth set lifted WT to a thrilling win over the Pioneers of Texas Woman's (25-19, 13-25, 25-21, 10-25, 15-13) on Saturday afternoon in Denton, Texas. The Lady Buffs move to 12-8 (7-3 LSC) while the Pioneers fall to 6-13 (2-8 LSC) on the season.
 
The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Cori Haley with 15 kills on 57 swings with seven attack errors to hit .140 on the afternoon with 21 digs for a double-double followed by Libby Strickland with 12 kills, Selena Batiste dished out 47 assists in the win while Lauren Britten tallied 27 digs followed by Haley with 21 and Kyli Schulz with 18. WT tallied 58 kills on 193 swings with 25 attack errors to hit .171 on the afternoon with 57 assists, 91 digs and six total blocks.
 
Texas Woman's was led by Sara Oxford with a match high 24 kills on 46 swings with three attack errors to hit .457 with 13 digs for a double-double followed by Courtney Noel with 12 kills, Mary Kate Hyde dished out a match high 55 assists while Makayla Mayfield tallied 31 digs. The Pioneers tallied 62 kills on 182 swings with 18 attack errors to hit .242 with 59 assists, 90 digs and 12.0 total blocks in the loss.

The Lady Buffs continue Lone Star Conference play on Tuesday night as they head to Portales, New Mexico to face off with the Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico with first serve set for 7 p.m. at Greuhound Arena in Portales.
