COMMERCE, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M dropped the opening two frames and hit .080 as a team on Friday night as they fell in a four set decision to the Lions of Texas A&M-Commerce (21-25, 17-25, 25-23, 15-25) inside of the TAMUC Fieldhouse in Commerce, Texas. The Lady Buffs fall to 11-8 (6-3 LSC) while the Lions improve to 11-8 (5-4 LSC) on the season.

The Lady Buffs were led offensively by
Cori Haley with 11 kills on 37 swings with three attack errors to hit .216 on the night followed by
Elisa Bentsen and
Libby Strickland with eight kills each,
Selena Batiste paced the WT offense with 28 assists to go along with 10 digs for the double-double while
Lauren Britten returned to the court with 28 digs on the night. The Lady Buffs registered 36 kills on 136 swings with 23 attack errors to hit just .080 on the night with 32 assists, 71 digs and just three total blocks in the loss.

Texas A&M-Commerce was led by Layne Little with 13 kills on 41 swings with four attack errors to hit .220 on the night while Taryn Driver and Jaryn Wacker had 10 kills each, Gabriela Rosa dished out 28 assists on the night while Ashley Mireles tallied a match high 24 digs in the win. The Lions registered 57 kills on 180 swings with 29 attack errors to hit .156 with 54 assists, 85 digs and 10.0 total blocks on the night.
