Kyla Kane added another recognition onto her already impressive resume on Thursday morning as the senior was named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-South Central Region Second Team.

The Wellington, Texas product has guided the Lady Buffs to the program's 30
th NCAA Division II Tournament, going 28-4 overall. Kane has shot 38.6% (112-of-290) from the floor including 34.5% (50-of-145) from deep and 87.9% (80-of-91) from the charity stripe to average 12.6 points per game to go along with 130 rebounds, 37 assists, 19 blocks and 24 steals.

Kane reached 1,000 career points back on November 29
th as she now ranks 18
th on WT's all-time scoring list (1,247 points). The First Team All-Lone Star Conference selection has reached double-figures 19 times this season while leading the Lady Buffs in scoring in seven contests.

The Lady Buffs open the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon as they take on the seventh seeded UT Tyler Patriots with tipoff set for 2:30 p.m. at Kitty Magee Arena in Denton.
