CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M will begin their 2025 season ranked eighth in the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division II Preseason Top-25 Poll announced on Friday afternoon.
 
Defending National Champion DBU claimed 16 first place votes for a total of 469 points to sit atop of the poll followed by Anderson (two first place, 444), Wingate (one first place, 394), Findlay (390), Lynn (371), Flagler (368), Nova Southeastern (332), WT (307), Cal State San Marcos (298) and Central Missouri (283) to round out the top ten.
 
Meredith Jameson is now in her 21st season at West Texas A&M after taking over the reigns of the program prior to the 2005-06 season.  She has led WT to 39 team tournament victories and 37 individual wins from 18 different players. Jameson has coached the Lady Buffs to the NCAA Division II National Championship nine times in her career at West Texas A&M with 14 Regional Championship Appearances.
 
The Lady Buffs open their season on September 15-17 as they take part in the Folds of Honor Challenge at The Meadows Golf Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
