CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M continued their cross country campaign on Friday morning with a second-place finish at the Texas Tech Open being held at the LCU Cross Country Course in Lubbock, Texas.

The #5 Buffaloes were led by
Adrian Legarreta with a time of 24:32.9) on the 8K course to finish 6
th overall followed by
Tommasso Toppi in 7
th (24:41.5).
Fintan Kavanagh registered an 11
th place finish (25:13.8) followed by
Branch Cox in 15
th (25:37.7),
Adrian Solis in 31
st (26:50.8),
Shane Ketchum in 46
th (27:21.7) and
Rudy Juarez in 81
st (29:20.2).

The host Red Raiders had three runners inside of the top five including individual champion Titus Kimaru to win the team title with 44 points followed by WT (70), New Mexico Junior College (78), Lubbock Christian (138) and Garden City CC (145) to round out the top five.

th as they take part in the Louisville Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
