Lady Buffs Claim a 78-55 Conference Win in Silver City

CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M picked up a 78-55 Lone Star Conference victory on Saturday in their final regular season road game of the season over the Western New Mexico Mustangs at Drag's Court in Silver City, New Mexico.
 
Kyla Kane led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs as the junior guard from Wellington went 4-of-8 from the floor including 3-of-4 from deep for a team-best 13 points to go along with five boards, four assists and a steal. Randi Harding chipped in 12 points followed by Claire Graham and Chloe Callahan with 11 each. Gloria Fornah grabbed a team-high six rebounds to go along with six points.
 
The Lady Buffs finished the game going 27-of-63 (42.9%) from the floor including 10-of-24 (41.7%) from behind the arc and 14-of-18 (77.8%) from the line with 35 rebounds (seven offensive, 28 defensive), 17 assists, 13 turnovers, one block and 13 steals in the win.
 
Elisa Joynes paced the Western New Mexico offense as she went 8-of-15 from the field for a game-high 16 points to go along with a pair of steals. The Mustangs went 23-of-58 (39.7%) from the floor including 1-of-6 (16.7%) from deep and 8-of-14 (57.1%) from the stripe with 36 rebounds, 17 assists, 22 turnovers, one block and eight steals.
 
The Lady Buffs return to the First United Bank Center for the final three games of the regular season beginning on Thursday night as they host the St. Mary's Rattlers in LSC action with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. in Canyon.
