Saw time in 31 games with 26 starts for the Lady Buffs during her first season in Maroon & White... Averaged 23.1 minutes per contest as she went 75-of-222 (33.8%) from the floor including 24-of-103 (23.3%) from deep and 51-of-70 (72.9%) from the free throw line to average 7.3 points per game to go along with 73 rebounds, 97 assists, seven blocks and 21 steals... Registered a season-high 23 points on the road at St. Edward's (Feb. 24)...

At UTEP:
Alvarez came to Canyon following two seasons at the University of Texas-El Paso where she saw time in 42 games for the Miners... Averaged 4.7 minutes per contest as she went 17-of-57 (29.8%) from the floor including 13-of-46 (28.3%) from deep and 4-of-6 (66.7%) from the free throw line to average 1.2 points per game to go along with 20 rebounds, 13 assists, two blocks and five steals...
 
At Heights High School:
2021 graduate of Heights High School in Houston... Played point guard and shooting guard for the Bulldogs under head coach Kerrick Arrington... During her senior season, Alvarez led the Bulldogs to an overall record of 24-5 including an undefeated mark of 12-0 in District play as she averaged 15.8 points per game...
