CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M cross country continued to impress on Saturday morning as the #11 Buffs and #2 Lady Buffs both claimed third place finishes at the SWAGS Louisville Cross Country Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Buffs started the morning by picking up 149 points in the 8K race, placing three runners inside of the Top-30 at the illustrious event. The men's field consisted of 326 runners as the Buffs ran a total time of 2:01:49.30 to average 24:21.86 per runner.

Adrian Legarreta led the way for the Buffs with time of 23:52.3 to finish seventh overall followed by
Matthys Bourse in 13

Middle Tennessee State claimed the team crown with a total of 60 points followed by Eastern Kentucky (62), West Texas A&M (149), Clemson (169) and Columbia (218) to round out the top five.

The Lady Buffs continued their impressive campaign as they placed three runners inside of the Top-20 on their way to a third-place finish with 102 points. The 305-runner field saw the Lady Buffs average a time of 17:21.06 on the 5K course.
