CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs finished Friday afternoon with six players scoring in double-figures led by 
Taylor Haggan with 17 as WT picked up a 93-83 exhibition victory over the Flying Queens of Wayland Baptist at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
 
Haggan finished the afternoon going 7-of-13 from the floor including 3-of-4 from the free throw line for a game-high 17 points to go along with 11 rebounds for a double-double, Canyon product 
Chloe Callahan had 13 points for the Lady Buffs followed by 
Taytum Bell (12), 
Claire Graham (11), 
Hollie Stalder (10) and 
Kyla Kane (10).
 
The Lady Buffs went 35-of-79 (44.3%) from the field including 7-of-28 (25%) from deep and 16-of-25 (64%) from the charity stripe with 52 rebounds (20 offensive, 32 defensive), 21 assists, 17 turnovers, three blocks and nine steals.
 
WBU was led by Kaitly Edgemon who went 6-of-11 from the floor including 3-of-5 from behind the arc for a team-high 16 points to go along with three rebounds and three assists. The Flying Queens finished the game going 27-of-62 (43.5%) from the field including 10-of-26 (38.5%) from deep and 19-of-27 (70.4%) from the line with 36 rebounds, 15 assists, 21 turnovers, one block and 12 steals.
 
The Lady Buffs close out preseason action next Friday as they travel to Tucson, Arizona to take on the Arizona Wildcats inside of the historic McKale Center with tipoff set for 8:00 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
