LAST TIME OUT
Hosting Adams State for its home opener, the Lady Buffs couldn't protect a 1-0 halftime lead, eventually tying the Grizzlies 1-1. WT scored the game's opening goal with just over six minutes to play in the first half. As
Ashley Silvestre took the ball into the 18-yard box and the defense closed in, the senior sent a centering pass towards the feet of
Jasmine Gibson. Gibson used one touch and placed the ball into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead. With the clock ticking under 10 minutes to play, Adams State found an equalizer when Tena Colette placed a pass onto the head of Brissa Toribio. Toribio's scoring chance got saved by Heelan, but the follow-up attempt by Karlee Caballero ended up in the back of the net. After the equalizer, the Lady Buffs attempted to take the lead in the final minutes but couldn't find the go-ahead goal.
