CANYON, Texas-Â West Texas A&M Track and Field finished the third day of the Texas Relays, the second day for WT, with multiple records in various events. The meet started with a cloud overcast as the Buffs 4X100 took place.Â

Jerry Jakpa ran the second fastest time in WT history at 39.56 and qualified for the finals tomorrow.Â
Isaac Botsio placed first in his 100-meter timed race and placed third overall with a time of 10.21.

Joseph Manu ran in the 100-meter race with a time of 10.14 and just barely missed the finals by 0.02. He placed in the eighth fastest time in WT history. The Lady Buffs,Â

Alana Wilson,
DeOndra Green were also on the cusp of making finals in the 4X100 with a time of 44.90. They placed fifth in WT history.Â

Taylor Nelloms is adding to her impressive resume with now holding the first and second best record in the triple jump for WT. Her mark of 13.38 meters was the second-best jump in the meet. She finished second out of 22 athletes in the triple jump.Â

DeOndra Green took second in the WT record for her effort in the 100 meter with a time of 11.43. She placed 18th out of 45.
Laiten Greeson had a great effort in the 100-meter hurdles and placed just 0.01 seconds shy of making the finals. Greeson ran a 13.95. Â
