CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs used a 24-0 scoring run in the first half that spanned over 11 minutes of action to top Texas A&M International, 75-56 on Friday night during the quarterfinal round of the Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Championship in front of over 1,200 fans at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.

Zamorye Roberts led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs as the junior guard went 11-of-19 from the floor including 7-of-13 from behind the arc for a game-high 30 points to go along with six assists, three steals and a block.
Lauren Taylor finished the night going 6-of-10 from the field and 2-of-5 from deep for 14 points while
Karley Motschenbacher led the way defensively with 11 boards and three assists while scoring six points.

The Lady Buffs finished the night going 28-of-64 (43.8%) from the field including 11-of-30 (36.7%) from deep and 8-of-11 (72.7%) from the free throw line with 47 rebounds (15 offensive, 32 defensive), 19 assists, 14 turnovers, seen blocks and 10 steals in the win.

Evelyn Quiroz paced the International offense as the freshman from Laredo went 5-of-13 from the field including a perfect 7-of-7 from the charity stripe for a team-high 17 points to go along with six rebounds, two assists and two steals. The Dustdevils went 18-of-59 (30.5%) from the floor including 6-of-19 (31.6%) from behind the arc and 14-of-19 (73.7%) from the free throw line with 30 rebounds (nine offensive, 21 defensive), eight assists, 12 turnovers, two blocks and eight steals.

The Lady Buffs advance to Saturday night's semifinal round against the fifth-seeded and 14
th ranked Lady Chaps of Lubbock Christian with tipoff set for 6 p.m. at the Comerica Center in Frisco.
