- NCBWA Top-25 Poll
CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Buffaloes have jumped a pair of spots to third in this week's edition of the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) Division II Top-25 Poll announced on Wednesday afternoon. WT and UT Permian Basin have also made time adjustments to this weekend's series in Midland.

Defending National Champion Wingate (11-1) picked up 16 of the possible 19 first place votes for a total of 471 points to remain atop of the poll followed by Tampa (three first place, 457), West Texas A&M (430), Southern Arkansas (410), Point Loma (388), Colorado Mesa (360), Nova Southeastern (349), Columbus State (341), Trevecca Nazarene (333) and Henderson State (284) to round out the top ten.

The Buffs are coming off of a Lone Star Conference sweep of the Cameron Aggies this past weekend at Wilder Park as they are now 10-0 overall and 8-0 in league action to sit atop of the LSC standings.

Due to cold temperatures, this weekend's Lone Star Conference schedule against UT Permian Basin has been altered. Friday's series opener will now be played at 2 p.m. followed by a Saturday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m., Sunday's finale is unchanged with first pitch set for 1 p.m.Â

The series will be played at Momentum Bank Ballpark, home of the Double-A affiliate for the Oakland Athletics, the Midland RockHounds.
