CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M finished the regular season unbeaten at home for the first time since 2013 as they showed heart on Wednesday night, battling back to claim a five set thriller over the #5 Belles of Angelo State (25-19, 21-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-9) in Lone Star Conference action at The Box.

Torrey Miller led the way for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore registered 18 kills on 45 swings with five attack errors to hit .289 on the night with three assists, two aces, five blocks and nine assists.
Porsha Porath tallied 12 kills followed by
Kayla Elliott with 10,
Sadie Snay paced the WT offense with 44 assists to go along with 10 digs for a double-double while
Chandler Vogel led the way in the back row with 24 digs.

WT finished the night with 52 kills on 152 swings with 21 attack errors to hit .204 on the night with 50 assists, seven service aces, seven blocks and 65 digs in the win. Vogel moved into fourth on WT's all-time digs list on Wednesday, passing
Lauren Britten (2013-16) with 2,092 digs.

Delaney Fuller finished the match with 17 kills on 40 swings with five attack errors to hit .300 on the night followed by Kailyn Gilbreath with 12 kills and 32 assists for the double-double. Chloe Patton led all players with 27 digs in the back row. The Belles finished the night with 65 kills on 175 attempts with 35 attack errors to hit .171 in the match with 63 assists, six aces, eight blocks and 73 digs.

The Lady Buffs have claimed the second seed in the West Division as they will travel to Tyler, Texas for the opening round of the Lone Star Conference Championship starting on Tuesday, March 23rd against Texas A&M International. That winner will advance to Wednesday night's (Mar. 24) quarterfinal round to face off with Central Division Champion UT Tyler at the Herrington Patriot Center.
