CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M's Kayla Elliott and Torrey Miller combined for 26 kills on Tuesday night as the Lady Buffs swept past the rival Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps to open up the second half of Lone Star Conference divisional action at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.
 
Elliott registered 13 kills on 32 swings with just two attack errors to hit .312 on the night to go along with two digs and a block while Miller finished the match with 13 kills on 35 swings with five attack errors for an attack percentage of .229 to go along with two blocks and 12 digs for the double-double. Sadie Snay paced the WT offense with 36 assists and seven digs while Chandler Vogel led the way in the back row with 31 digs.
 
The Lady Buffs finished the night with 49 kills on 135 swings with 14 attack errors to hit .259 as a team with 45 assists, three service aces, 77 digs and four total blocks in the win. Vogel runs her career digs total to 1,988 to move just 98 behind Lauren Britten (2013-16) for fourth all-time.
 
LCU was led offensively by Zoe Parker who finished the night with 11 kills on 30 swings with three attack errors to hit .267, Jalee Sims paced the LCU offense with 21 assists and 11 digs for a double-double while Maddie DeGuire had 16 digs in the back row. The Lady Chaps registered 38 kills on 144 swings with 20 attack errors to hit .125 on the night with 31 assists, two service aces, 59 digs and five total blocks.
 
The Lady Buffs make their way down Interstate 27 tomorrow night as they wrap-up their regular season series with LCU with first serve set for 7:00 p.m. at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock.
