CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M's Lone Star Conference weekend baseball series with the Cameron Aggies has been moved to Wilder Park on Sunday and Monday due to unplayable field conditions in Lawton due to inclement weather this week.
The series was originally scheduled to take place at McCord Field in Lawton on Friday, Saturday and Sunday but snowstorms over the last few days have made the natural surface unplayable. The series will now start on Sunday at Wilder Park with a pair of nine-inning contests at 1 p.m. followed by the series finale on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m..
The #12 Buffs enter the weekend with an overall record of 5-1 with a 2-0 mark in LSC play following a doubleheader sweep of Eastern New Mexico last week in Canyon. The Aggies will open up their 2021 campaign this weekend as they have had their first two series with Texas A&M-Kingsville and St. Edward's being postponed due to COVID-19 and inclement weather.
The series will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network.
