CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M sophomore
Torrey Miller powered the Lady Buff Volleyball offense on Wednesday night as WT swept past the UT Permian Basin Falcons (25, 18, 28-26, 25-19) in Lone Star Conference divisional action at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.
The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Miller who finished the night with 16 kills on 37 swings with five attack errors to hit .297 on the night to go along with nine digs and two blocks.
Kayla Elliott and
Samantha Jordan registered six kills each,
Sadie Snay paced the WT offense with 33 assists and six digs while
Chandler Vogel led the way in the back row with 22 digs in the win.
WT finished the match with 40 kills on 115 swings with 18 attack errors to hit .191 on the night with 35 assists, five service aces, 54 digs and 10 total blocks.
Aquincia Strambler led the way offensively for the Falcons as she finished the night with 14 kills on 29 swings with four attack errors to hit .345, Analise Lucio paced the UTPB offense with 24 assists to go along with four digs and four blocks while Daylee Doggett registered 15 digs in the back row.
The Lady Buffs conclude their three-match homestand on Tuesday night as they welcome the Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps to The Box for Lone Star Conference divisional action with first serve set for 6 p.m. in Canyon.
