CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M head baseball coach Matt Vanderburg and his staff have announced the addition of Blake Wolf to WT's high school signing class as he joins Brayden Franco, Jaxen Monkerud and Kaden Monkerud for the 2023 campaign.
 
Wolf is currently a senior at Taylor High School in Katy, Texas where he was a Second Team All-District performer on the mound last season for the Mustangs under head coach Russell Kreneck. He tossed 41.1 innings with a 4-2 record and 39 strikeouts while hitting .314 and driving in nine RBI. Blake is the son of John and Barbi Wolf and he has three siblings: Easton, Morghann and current Buff Cavendar.
 
The Buffs open their 2022 campaign on February 4-5 as the host the Bob Sloan Baseball Classic at Wilder Park with matchups against New Mexico Highlands and Colorado State-Pueblo.
