CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M's Kory Schmidt continued to add to his already impressive resume on Wednesday morning as the senior was named a Third Team All-American by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).
 
Schmidt becomes the 16^th All-American in program history joining: Tim Dubrule, Adam DeLaGarza, Kendall Boone, Jess Cooper, Dylan James, Tyler McKnight, Paul Lujan, Marshall Kasowski, Joe Corbett, Kyle Kaufman, Mathieu Gauthier, Keone Givens, Adam Becker, Ryan Johnson and Dylan Fesperman.
 
Schmidt earned All-LSC Second Team accolades as the Liberty Hil native hit .374 during his 46 contests with 17 doubles, two triples and nine homeruns to drive in 59 RBI with a slugging percentage of .655. The senior split time between designated hitter, first base and behind the plate as he registered 18 multi-hit performances while driving in at least two runs on a team-best 16 occasions.
