-United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The West Texas A&M Buffs will enter postseason play nationally-ranked 17
th after the newest edition of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll was released on Tuesday morning by the organization's offices.
WT finishes the regular season 13-3-0 with a 6-2-0 mark in conference play to earn the No. 2 seed in the Lone Star Conference Championships after upsetting Midwestern State, 3-2 on Senior Day. Young Harris ranked first in the national standings at 15-0-1 followed by Palm Beach Atlantic, Davis & Elkins, Franklin Pierce, and Charleston.
The Buffs received an automatic bid to the semifinal rounds of the LSC tournament and will play the winner of No. 6 UT Permian Basin – No. 3 Lubbock Christian. The semifinal match is set for Friday, Nov. 12 in Wichita Falls, Texas at 5 p.m. at Stang Park.
The winner of the conference tournament will receive the LSC's bid to the NCAA Championships along with the four other conference champions from the Super-4 Region. The final five spots from the region will decided by the NCAA selection committee and will be announced on Monday, Nov. 15.
