CANYON, Texas – The Buffs hit the road for Lone Star Conference action on Saturday night in Laredo against the Dustdevils of Texas A&M International starting at 7 p.m. at Dustdevil Field.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's match marks the 19^th meeting between the Buffs and Dustdevils with WT leading the series 10-6-2 and 6-1-1 while playing in Laredo.  In their last meeting, TAMIU won 1-0 with a score in the final five minutes of the match. 
 
SCOUTING THE DUSTDEVILS
Texas A&M International enters weekend play 4-6-1 (1-1-0 LSC) after falling to UT Permian Basin, 2-1, in overtime under 17^th-year head coach Claudio Arias.  The Dustdevils average 1.55 goals per match on 12.2 shots for a .127 shot-percentage. 
 
Kristian Colaci leads TAMIU's offense with a conference-high 10 goals and a team-high 22 points. Three players have registered minutes between the post for the Dustdevils with a team 1.75 goals-against-average and .643 save-percentage led by Naxto Faus.  The Cocentaina, Spain produt has a 3-3-0 record with a 1.29 gaa and a .724 save-percentage. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Buffs snapped a two-game losing streak on Wednesday night after they outlasted UT Tyler, 3-2, to improve to 8-2-0 (1-1-0 LSC) on the season.  Junior Denis Herrera recorded his first career brace with a goal in the 40^th-minute and the deciding-goal in the 68^th-minute.  Ben Siri led WT with six shots and Tom Miles earned the start with four saves in his seventh career victory. 
 
A LOOK AT THE HERD
The Buffs have outscored opponents 25-18, averaging 2.50 goals per match on 17.2 shots which ranks first in the conference including a .465 shot-on-goal percentage.  Saldana has scored a team-high nine goals followed by Stefan Andjelic with four while Ben Siri leads the offense with four assists.  WT's defense has limited opponents to 9.8 shots per match with goalkeeper Tom Miles recording seven victories with 20 saves for a .645 save-percentage. 
 
USC DIVISION II TOP-25
The Buffs moved to 18^th in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Men's Soccer Top-25 rankings.  WT is one of two programs from the Lone Star Conference ranked in the national standings joined by Midwestern State at eighth.
 
REGIONAL RANKINGS
Midwestern State moved to first in the South Central Regional rankings at 9-1-0 followed by No. 12 Colorado Mesa, No. 18 WT, No. 25 Colorado School of Mines, CSU-Pueblo, St. Mary's, Regis, Lubbock Christian, Colorado Christian, and UCCS. 
 
BUTCH LAUFFER
Butch Lauffer is in his 31st season as head men's soccer coach at West Texas A&M University. As the longest tenured head coach in WT history, Lauffer has coached the men to 29 consecutive non-losing seasons and the women to 12-plus victories in 12 seasons. Lauffer has recorded a 358-159-39 (.678) record at the helm of the Buffs with a 547-226-56 (.693) overall record at WT.
