CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M freshman outside
Torrey Miller capped off her opening weekend in Maroon & White with 19 kills as the Brownfield native earned MVP honors at the BritKare Lady Buff Classic as WT swept past Tuskegee (25-12, 25-8, 25-11) in the tournament finale on Saturday afternoon at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.

The Lady Buffs registered 45 kills on 74 swings with just six attack errors to hit an impressive .527 in the match which is the fifth highest attack percentage in a single-match in WT history. The Lady Buffs tallied 43 assists in the match to go along with five aces, 47 digs and 5.0 total blocks. Miller finished the afternoon with 19 kills on 23 swings with just two errors to hit .739 to go along with six digs,
Sadie Snay dished out 23 assists while
Chandler Vogel led the way with 17 digs as she and
Selena Batiste earned All-Tournament accolades.

The Lady Buffs hit the road next weekend as they take part in the Skyhawk Volleyball Classic on the campus of Fort Lewis College, taking on Texas A&M International and Adams State on Friday followed by matchups with #4 Washburn and the host Skyhawks on Saturday at Whalen Gymnasium.
