Lindsey Smith earned all-tournament accolades as the Lady Buffs split action on day two of the Skyhawk Volleyball Classic at Whalen Gymnasium in Durango, Colorado.

The Lady Buffs open up Lone Star Conference action next weekend as they host rival Angelo State on Friday night followed by a Saturday showdown with Lubbock Christian at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.

Selena Batiste led the way offensively for WT with 10 kills on 22 swings with just three attack errors to hit .318 on the afternoon followed by All-Tournament selections
Torrey Miller (9) and Linsey Smith (8) in kills.
Gabby Emery paced the WT offense with 28 assists to go along with six digs while
Chandler Vogel led the way with 19 digs in the loss.

The Lady Buffs registered 33 kills on 95 swings with 14 attack errors to hit .200 in the match to go along with 30 assists, 44 digs, six blocks and 39.0 points. The opening frame saw the Lady Buffs hit .303 as a team with 13 kills and just three attack errors but the powerful Washburn lineup hit .305 on the afternoon in the sweep.

The Lady Buffs ended the weekend on a high-note as Smith registered a career-high 18 kills on 30 swings with just two attack errors to hit .533 in the victory, Emery dished out 34 assists on the night while Vogel added 22 digs.

WT finished the match with 58 kills on 132 swings with 13 attack errors to hit .341 on the night with 56 assists, eight aces, eight blocks and 100 total points. The Lady Buffs dominated in the opening frame as they tallied 15 kills on 29 swings with just one error to hit .483 as a team in the frame while the stellar WT defense allowed an attack percentage of .062 on the night.
